Hydro jetting is a common technique used to remove coatings, accumulated contaminants, and dirt from surfaces, as well as to clear blockages in pipes, by employing high-velocity water pressure through a jet nozzle.
A typical hydro jet system includes a pressure pump, the appropriate nozzle to direct the water stream to the target area, waste handling equipment, a work area enclosure, and various accessories.
Hydro jetting systems can operate at pressures ranging from 4,000 pounds per square inch (psi) to as high as 60,000 psi (414 MPa), depending on the specific task.

How Hydro Jetting Works
High-Pressure Hose: A specialized hose equipped with a nozzle is inserted into the pipe. This hose is connected to a machine that pressurizes water to very high levels, often up to 4,000 PSI (pounds per square inch).
Nozzle Design: The nozzle is designed to direct powerful jets of water forward to break up blockages and backward to flush debris out of the pipe. This dual action ensures thorough cleaning.
Water Force: The force of the water is strong enough to dislodge debris, scale, grease, and even tree roots, which can be a common cause of pipe blockages.
